Huang Jin Gui is one of the famous Fujian Province oolong tea varieties, originating from Anxi County in the south of Fujian Province. Many farmers produce various types of tea from this cultivar, ranging from classical Tie Guanyin to red tea. Huang Jin Gui has smaller leaves compared to other oolongs and is known for its rich aroma. This tea is made using traditional 武夷山 Wuyishan technology, similar to the processing of the mid-roasted Shui Xian variety. It is named Guo Xiang, which means fruit aroma in Chinese. This aroma arises from a combination of specific fermentation and final charcoal baking processes. Due to its specific terroir, this tea will be enjoyed by anyone who appreciates Wuyi rock tea.
