Zhu Cha — Ceremony of Tea Boiling
Boiled tea is an ancient tradition, once widespread across China, Mongolia, Tibet, and other regions of Asia — and in a few places, it's still practiced today. A thousand years ago, tea wasn't brewed the way we know it now: it was cooked with salt and spices, enjoyed as a healthy, tonic beverage.
This method was famously described by Lu Yu, the legendary Chinese philosopher and tea master, in his "Tea Canon" — the very first treatise on tea traditions.
What to expect:
We've practiced this method for many years and genuinely love sharing it. Join us for Zhu Cha, a tea boiling ceremony rooted in the ancient principles laid out by Lu Yu himself — a rare chance to taste tea the way it was enjoyed centuries ago.
Perfect for: tea lovers, history buffs, and anyone curious about the roots of tea culture beyond the modern brewing methods.
